The Birth of a Vision
From a single room in Bertrams to four distinguished boutique hotels
Evermore Guest Lodge came to existence in 1997, when the owner Mr. Ever discovered his profound passion for hospitality in his own house in Bertrams. What began as a simple extension — a few extra rooms for travelers — quickly blossomed into a small guest house as people kept referring themselves to live in his home. Word spread like wildflower across Johannesburg: there was a place where strangers were treated like family, where every guest felt the genuine warmth of Mzansi.
This organic growth made Mr. Ever realize that a hotel built on authentic values, integrity, and personalized care would attract not just visitors, but a community. That realization pushed him to open the first official Evermore hotel in Bertrams. Over the years, that single flame of hospitality expanded into different locations across Johannesburg, in the heart of Gauteng province — each branch carrying the same DNA of warmth, security, and effortless elegance.

Mr. Ever himself monitors and controls most of the services in the hotels till today. While many clients get used to the dedicated managers at each location, he remains the invisible thread that weaves consistency, excellence, and the culture of a “home away from home” into every stay. His hands-on philosophy ensures that from the moment you check in, you are greeted not by a corporate script but by genuine care.

Evermore hotel came to existence, in 1997, while the owner Mr Ever discovered his passion for hospitality in his house in betrams, which developed into a small guest house as people kept referring themselves to live in his house extension.
This made him realize having a hotel with more values will attract more people, and that pushed him to open the first hotel in betram, which have grown over the years into different locations at Johannesburg, in Gauteng province of South Africa.
